Tarana Burke photographed by Billy & Hells for TIME’s Person of the Year, she’s the founder of the #MeToo Movement who started 10 years ago. She must be recognized for her work and should have been on the cover.

“Sexual harassment does bring shame. And I think it’s really powerful that this transfer is happening, that these women are able not just to share their shame but to put the shame where it belongs: on the perpetrator.”

THIS. Don’t let other’s bury her name. Tarana Burke started this, a black woman and most if not everybody has ignored that. So please don’t forget this woman.

okay will someone please tell a superhero one of these days

that killing a mass murderer is not, actually, lowering yourself to their level, but rather, preventing them from murdering more innocent people.

yup yup YUP YUP YUP YES YES???

AND ALSO TELL THEIR LOVE INTERESTS because sometimes THEY’RE the ones who are like “STAHP”

Can we also throw in these:

1. Not telling loved ones about bad guys with grudges does not protect them. It actually puts them at greater risk.

2. Leaving someone you care about alone “because they’re your weak spot” also does not protect them. It does make it likely that they won’t be able to ask you for help, though, if someone does come after them.

you all added on very good points and I honestly couldn’t agree more

3. If a bad guy kills or hurts people it’s not your fault. Even if the bad guy does a whole “you could have saved them/if you hadn’t done that thing they might be alright” schtick; it’s not your fault. It’s theirs: they made a decision to hurt people which you don’t have the power to stop. You can feel bad but going on some desperate, reckless revenge quest is just gonna get more people hurt.

So much this last one.

Also applies in real life to people threatening to kill themselves etc as an abuse tactic.

staff You are recommending that I follow a nazi blog I blocked last night. Your site promotes anti-semitism to Jews. Your site shoves Nazi Swastikas in the faces of Jews. It’s bad enough that the Nazi blogs seem to be sprouting up like weeds on a site that claims to have an anti-hate policy, but to actively promote them to people who have taken the steps of blocking these blogs is beyond the pale. Clean this place up. It’s turning into Stormfront.

I encourage everyone who sees this post, Jewish or otherwise, to reblog it. Tumblr has been ignoring the growth of Nazism on this site for too long. It needs to end.
